I've been looking at the MOoK symbol. I'm sure it does, but I am wondering to the nature of it. How did it come to be, does it have any symbolism, ect?
Perhaps such an answer can later be added to a future FAQ. ;P

I know for the LARPing community, the belt and sword are traditional symbols of knighthood, with many Knights having this symbol with their personal heraldry inside the circle.

There is an answer actually.
I wanted a symbol that said who we were and when people looked at it they would think yah, they help people.
The goal I have for each and every member is that they reach Knighthood. And so we have a sword which in many cultures was the symbol of a Knight.
The simple brown belt is holding it together in a way and is representative of humility and service. How service? What does a belt do? Mostly it just holds your pants up. Some people have belts that are fancy or for decoration but primarily the belt just serves its owner by doing a simple task. A task that we sometimes really need that belt to do. LOL
And the outstretched hand is supposed to be offering to one that needs. Rather it be help, guidance or just support. Like when a child reaches for you hand to cross the street. Or someone has fallen and needs a hand up. Or when you are giving someone something and they are reaching to take it.
I wanted it simple and to convey a message. I drew several different emblems and asked several people what they thought about each of them. And then, after weeks or drawing and getting feedback I decided on this particular one.

Anyone familiar with traditional Scottish/Irish kilt pins might also see a similar theme of sword and belt around a family crest. These are used to keep your kilt closed during a breeze LOL
