Merit Badges

(All submissions for badges must have proof, signed statement, time sheet, picture, and a journal entry explaining what was done, your experience and what you got from it.)

 

Charity 1: Donating a one-time minimum dollar amount to a non-profit organization.

Charity 2: Set up a repeating monetary donation to a non-profit organization.

Charity 3: Raising and donating a minimum dollar amount to a non-profit organization.

Volunteering 1: Give a minimum amount of your time to a selfless act.

Volunteering 2: Give a minimum amount of your time to a non-profit organization.

Volunteering 3:  Give a minimal amount of time at a retirement home.

Feed the Needy 1: collect food for a food pantry

Feed the Needy 2: volunteer at a soup kitchen for a set amount of hours.

 

 

First Aid: Becoming certified in first aid and CPR.

First Responder: Becoming certified in first aid, CPR, AED, fire extinguisher use and emergency procedures.

Paramedics: Pass a state paramedic exam.

Medical Care: Donate a minimum amount of time practicing medicine (requires a medical license)

Human Care: Donate a minimum amount of time practicing your respective profession in the health care field.

Search and Rescue: Donate time and effort of your services for a cause (requires needed certifications)

 

Child Care: Donate time at a mother’s day out program, or similar program (may require state certifications)

Clothe Children: donate clothing to a child’s needs program.

Christmas Children: Donate toys for children’s Christmas (Toys for tots, shoe box, church function)

Child Mentor: Donate time at a child Mentorship Program or organization.

MDO: volunteer at or start a Mother’s day out program.

 

Animal Care 1: Adopting, or being a foster home for, and providing a nourishing and caring home and security for neglected or needy animals.

Animal Care 2: Donating time and financial aid to an animal shelter or organization.

Animal Care 3: Donate for an animal’s care at a vet.

 

Recycling 1: Recycle paper, and donate any proceeds from the recycling to a charity.

Recycling 2: Recycle plastic, and donate any proceeds from the recycling to a charity.

Recycling 3: Recycle Glass, and donate any proceeds from the recycling to a charity.

Recycling 4: Recycle metal/aluminum, and donate any proceeds from the recycling to a charity.

Recycling 5: Recycle batteries, and donate any proceeds from the recycling to a charity.

Recycling 6: start a recycling program in your community.

 

Music 1: Give an instrument to a needy person.

Music 2: Teach someone how to read music.

Music 3: Teach someone to sing.

Music 4: teach someone to play an instrument.

Music 5: volunteer in a not for profit choir (church choir, Choir for holiday music)
