These lessons are designed to give you the final knowledge necessary to understanding the practical aspects of archaeology. Here, you will cover different report writing and the legal requirements for your local area. Keep in mind that these will apply to your other Master Archaeologist Requirements, so be thinking about how you will apply them. If you have any questions, make contact with your mentor.

Read through An Introduction to Archaeological Report Writing in the History Section of the Order's Library and write an essay on your understanding. What are the different types of reports? What are some things that need to be considered when writing a report. Think about how these reports would actually apply to your Mock Excavation requirement. Which do you think you'll be using? Share your essay in your journal.

Research the local laws in your area that pertain to archaeology. Share them in a journal entry.

Discuss fieldwalking in archaeology. What is it and how does it apply? Conduct your own fieldwalk and share what you discover, based on your knowledge of fieldwalking.
