Read First- Journeyman Historian Requirements

The Journeyman Lessons are designed to take what you have learned in the Apprentice lessons and narrow the focus down to one specific area of interest. This area of interest will serve as the foundation for your research paper and presentation at the Master Level. This level is primarily for research and the development of your writing.


General Requirements to Become a Journeyman:

- Must be at least a Squire.
- Must have completed the Apprentice Core Lessons in Research, World History, and Medieval History.


Specific Requirements to Become a Journeyman:

- Apprentice must complete the Journeyman Historian Core Lessons on Writing.
- Apprentice must select one area of interest with the help of his or her mentor.
- Apprentice must complete the Journeyman Historian Core Lessons in World History.
- Apprentice must complete additional lessons provided by mentor if the mentor determines additional writing is necessary.
- Apprentice must be recommended for the Journeyman Award by mentor.


Optional Journeyman Historian in Medieval History Path:

- Apprentice may choose to complete the Journeyman Historian Core Lessons in Medieval History.
- This path is not required to move on to Master Historian within the Guild.
- It is required if one wants to work towards the Master Historian in Medieval History Requirements.


Lesson Order- Journeyman lessons should be completed in the following order:

- Journeyman Historian Core Lessons on Writing
- Journeyman Historian Core Lessons in World History
- Journeyman Historian Core Lessons in Medieval History (if completing the Medieval lessons)
