We have given you a foundation in basic calligraphy scripts, but there is one more topic to cover before moving on to the journeyman lessons. Fantasy scripts have become popularized in contemporary culture. Among these are the various scripts developed by JRR Tolkien, particularly his Elvish language scripts, as well as a runic derived scripts in movie and video game franchises. Follow the link at the bottom of the page to the Fictional Language section of Omniglot: The Online Encyclopedia of Writing Systems and Languages and look through them. Which ones do you like? Practice them and share your results with in your journal. Note, mastery is not expected for a fictional language. You may delve into it as much as you like.
